We sorted mum's 80th birthday out for her. She's going to have a lovely time and I know that that would mean a lot to you. I've started singing in a band occasionally again and me and Owain are once again beginning to look at whether it's possible to get married without robbing a bank (looks like I'd better buy a balaclava to be honest...). The world's even weirder than last time we spoke about it unfortunately, but I'm doing my best to try to make it a better place as and where I can. We're also still utterly rubbish at renovating this house without your guidance but have just decided that 'wonkiness gives it character.' Autumn's always a weird time now, but I guess the turning of the leaves is a good reminder that the energy of everything and everyone lives on. "Throughout our life we produce energy. We say things and do things, and every thought, every word, and every act carries our signature. What we produce as thoughts, as speech, as action, continues to influence the world, and that is our continuation body. Our actions carry us into the future. We are like stars whose light energy continues to radiate across the cosmos millions of years after they become extinct." - Thich That Hanh

Happy birthday dad. It would have been your 80th this year. I've spent the day trying to sort out bits and bobs in our messy unfinished house out and thinking how you would have been laughing at me and Owain and asking 'are you STILL not finished with that house?!' We're definitely not as handy as you were ;) We've got a tip run tomorrow and for some reason attempting to be practical feels like exactly the right thing to be doing on your birthday weekend. Rest well xxx
